YOT - ISSP Worker - Weekends Only



Our Client, a busy Youth Offending Team, has an exciting new vacancy working with ISSP scheme in the North West.



Candidates should have previous experience of working within a Youth Offending Team or similar youth project.



Suitable candidates will come from a Youth Offending, Probation, Housing or Police background.



Your main responsibilities will include:



•To work with members of the multi-agency Youth Offending Team and other relevant agencies and individuals to deliver the Youth Justice Plan.



•To assess young people against the ISSP eligibility criteria, including the identification of risk, the need for safeguarding children and young people, and determine the method of intervention.



•To provide a point of advice for YOT workers around ISSP referrals and the process.



•To supervise or manage pre-sentence interventions such as ISSP bail cases.



•To undertake work as directed with young people and their families in an individual group work context.



•To develop and sustain effective working relationships with a range of agencies who deliver Services to young offenders.



•To liaise with the parents/carers of young people referred to the Team in order to provide them with support and develop their parenting skills.



This is a weekend position for 4/5 months. You must be able to commit to 10 hours per weekend – hours are negotiable



Based in the North West



Rate of pay is between £12-£14 per hour
