Weblogic Administrator/ Web Logic Guru
Weblogic Administrator/ Weblogic Guru required to join this growing and successful company. My client is the UK's leading developer and licensor of online Bingo solutions, supplying companies such as Ladbrokes, Mecca/Blue Sq, William Hill, Sky, Bet365 and Crown Bingo.

Key Responsibilities/Duties for the Weblogic Administrator
• Designing, implementing and supporting the Web Logic environments.
• Become the focal point for Web Logic queries and provide expert advice and guidance to the Development and Operational teams.
• Define site standards and best practices with regards to the Web Logic application server.
• Benchmarking and Load Testing of new application code releases and Oracle software release (Web Logic and Database ).
• Investigation and troubleshooting of Web Logic application server components.
Mandatory skills and experience
• Extensive experience of supporting / managing Web Logic version 8 or above (they currently use version 10.1), in a production environment.
• Extensive and demonstrable use of Web Logic clustering to provide failover.
• Configuring and tuning database pools, investigating Web Logic performance issues.
• Practical use of WLST for monitoring and configuring application servers.
• Planning and implementing Web Logic upgrades and migrations.
• Excellent technical and analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix.
Desirable skills and experience
• Knowledge of JBoss, IBM Websphere or other application servers.
• Experience of performance management and tuning of Linux internals.
• Knowledge of EJB’s, JMS and J2EE engineered applications from a systems admin perspective.
• Practical experience of load balancing products
• Development and configuration of software deployment tools.
• Implementation and support of rapid provisioning utilities.
• Perl/Shell Scripting, TCP/IP Networking, DNS.
• Linux performance tuning and system internals.
• Oracle 10g.
